I just finished "Almost French," by
Sarah Turnbull. The book is about culture clashes between an Australian journalist and her new home. It's essentially a tale of a fish out of water. Her deadpan humor, coupled with her insight on
la vie Parisienne, have given me quite a bit to think before I take the leap and move to Paris.
"[F]amiliarity breeds compassion and even affection. Quite simply, living side by side you can't pretend they're not there."
