A friend of mine is 36-and-a-half weeks pregnant and just got fired from her job. I shit you not.
The kicker — the business is partially owned by her family and is super successful, largely due to her outstanding work and innovative ideas.
I'm not a vindictive person, but I'm thinking that the greedy partner who initiated the firing will have to deal with some bad ju-ju for awhile. I'm just sayin' ...

Seems like it'd be worth consulting an employment attorney. A letter or two might be worth the severance she deserves. Is it possible they did it to avoid having to pay her disability and/or benefits while on maternity leave? Bastards!
