being magnanimous

I sought advice from Aaron and Allison about whether or not I should offer to pay for half of dinner on Valentine's Day.

That led to a much more important question, namely: is it magnonymity (like anonymity)? Magnanimosity (like animosity)?

In the end, I didn't pay for half.
