what's your eco footprint?

I recycle. I buy organic most of the time. I live less than 5 miles from work. I don't drive an SUV. I even carpool every chance I get.

And, compared to most Americans, I have a pretty small ecological footprint. But the fact remains that if everyone lived like me, we'd need 3.7 planets. Al Gore would be so disappointed in me ...

It must be easier in Finland. My footprint was 6.1 needing 3.4 planets. Half of the year I cycle to work (3 miles) and my car uses about 7l/100km ... I also have household of 4 persons.

Finland's average seems to be 8.4 global hectares - one third of US average.

What bothers me most is that my quiz said "WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 1.8 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.
"
when it is 4.5 GHs in your screenshot ???

I'm not even going to take this test right now. Phoenix ain't where anything remotely eco-friendly happens. No way I can ride a bike or take public transit to work. Nowhere to recycle. You have to keep the AC on almost all the time. Pretty much sucks.
